On April 20, 2023, scientists of the Institute of Pig Breeding and AIP of the National Academy of Sciences took part in the III scientific and practical conference "Scientific and innovative development of agricultural production as a guarantee of food security of Ukraine: yesterday, today, tomorrow." First of all, we would like to thank the coordinators and organizers of the event, namely, the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the National Agricultural Library, the Institute of the History of Agrarian Science, Education and Technology, the Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast for the opportunity of verbal communication, exchange of knowledge, opinions, and experience.

Conference participants - leading scientists, specialists, practitioners, graduate students, doctoral students in the field of agricultural production analyzed the achievements and proposed ways to solve the problems of domestic agriculture related to modern realities, challenges and changes. No less interesting were the reports of a historical focus on the development of domestic agricultural science in Ukraine, supplementing thorough historical and cultural knowledge with hitherto unresearched facts, events, phenomena, forgotten names of outstanding Ukrainian scientists, as well as information on the activities of universities and research institutions of agricultural science industry.

Summarizing today's event, it is necessary to emphasize the importance and necessity of holding similar events in the future, because the efforts of the community aimed at developing the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of the innovative development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine, an effective mechanism for the transfer of innovations are extremely relevant for the country.
