Brief information: The goal of the Program is to create scientifically based, methodically directed approaches to the restoration of the first domestic breed of pigs - the Myrhorod breed, ensuring the proper level of its preservation and further rational use. The program is designed for 2023-2025 and defines ways to implement a set of measures through a combination of traditional methods of breeding the existing population with a rapid change of generations using individual initial parental forms and related pig breeds in the selection process in order to quickly increase the share of conditional bloodline in the Myrhorod breed using introductory crossing.

The publication is intended for scientists, managers and specialists of enterprises, agricultural formations of all forms of ownership, as well as for postgraduates and students of specialized faculties of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.

The breeding program of the large white breed of pigs in Ukraine for 2003-2012 was considered by the Scientific Council of the Pig Breeding Institute named after O. V.
