Laboratory of Dairy Cattle Breeding

 

The laboratory was established in January 2021 on the basis of the laboratory of providing in milk and beef production. Its creation was due to close cooperation of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agricultural Research of the NAAS with the research farms of the State Enterprise "DH named after 9 Sichnya", the State Enterprise "DH named after the Decembrists", the State Enterprise "DH Stepne" of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production and the need to develop dairy cattle breeding as a priority direction for the development of the livestock industry of Ukraine.

 Main achievements

• New technological solutions for feeding and keeping dairy cows have been developed.
• A scheme for drinking calves using probiotics for the prevention of calf diseases has been developed.
• A device has been developed to improve the comfort of cattle in dairy cattle barns.
• The parameters of the content of harmful substances in the premises for keeping cows of the Ukrainian black-and-white dairy and Ayrshire breeds in the State Enterprise "Stepne" and the State Enterprise "Dekabristov" of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production and their impact on animal productivity have been determined.
