Internship in livestock farming “Le Nivot” in the city of Loperec
Employees of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Animal Husbandry of the NAAS PERETYATKO Lydia - leading researcher of the laboratory of pig breeding and selection, candidate of agricultural sciences and CONKS Tatyana - researcher of the laboratory of scientific research on intellectual property and marketing of innovations returned from an internship in animal husbandry, which took place at the educational institution "Le Nivot", in the city of Loperec (France).

During the internship, they mastered a course of lectures on livestock production technologies: pig breeding, sheep breeding, dairy farming, feed production. They completed a course of practical classes with elements of veterinary medicine on a pig breeding farm, which keeps 280 hybrid sows “YOUNA”.
They participated in practical classes on a sheep breeding farm (shearing, hoof trimming, lambing, feeding).



On a dairy farm (Norman breed), they got acquainted with the technology of milk production (they mastered the DeLaval milking machine). Also, with their direct participation, the harvesting of haylage from perennial grasses was organized.



The Institute's scientists gained new knowledge and exchanged experience with foreign colleagues. Upon completion, they received certificates of internship completion.
