120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist physiologist and specialist in pig feeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Ivan Grigorievich BRYUSHYNIN

Today, July 25, 2025, marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist physiologist and specialist in pig feeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Ivan Grigorievich BRYUSHININ.

From 1940–1941 he was Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Pig Breeding (Poltava) and from 1944–1947 – Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Poltava Scientific Research Institute of Pig Breeding (Now the Institute of Pig Breeding and APV NAAS); in 1947–1969 – senior research fellow, consultant to the feeding department of the same institute.

During his work, he carried out a significant amount of experimental work on pig feeding, among which works on mineral nutrition and combined silos are of particular importance.

The scientific works of Bryushinin I. G. on pig feeding are known to a wide circle of scientists and practicing pig farmers in Ukraine and abroad.

He published more than 60 scientific works of theoretical and practical importance.

Bryushinin I. G. carried out a lot of work on training the younger generation of scientists, carefully and persistently passed on to them his knowledge and rich experience in scientific research.
