September 26, 2025 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist zootechnician, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Mykola Terentiyovych NOZDRIN.

Over the years of scientific and pedagogical activity, the scientist has made a significant contribution to domestic industry science in the study of metabolism and energy in pigs in order to achieve their maximum productivity, the development of detailed feeding standards for different age and production groups of pigs, and the compilation of rational and effective compound feed formulations. The results of the research have been published in more than 160 scientific papers. Under the scientific supervision of the scientist, 7 candidate dissertations and 67 diploma theses have been defended.

M. T. Nozdrin was a member of specialized councils for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses at the Institute of Pig Breeding of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the National Agrarian University.

For his services to the development of agricultural science and the introduction of achievements into production, M. T. Nozdrin was awarded the honorary title of Honored Zootechnician of the Ukrainian SSR.
