On December 4, 2018, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences Mykhailo Vasyliovych Gladiy visited the Institute of Pig Breeding and Animal Husbandry of the National Academy of Sciences on a working visit.

During the visit, he got acquainted with the history of the establishment and development of the Institute, the work of its experimental base, the equipment for conducting scientific research in the laboratory of genetics, physiology and production technology of pig breeding products.

M.V. Hladiy held a meeting with the staff of the Institute, where difficult issues of further scientific work were raised in the conditions of limited funding of the institution, and the need to purchase new equipment for conducting laboratory research was emphasized. Special attention is paid to improving the scientific personnel potential of the Institute through the involvement of capable young graduates of higher educational institutions in postgraduate study and the need to continue improving scientific qualifications in doctoral studies.

During the meeting with the directors of the experimental farms of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Animal Husbandry, their high role in financial support of the Institute's scientific research was noted, and attention was paid to the assistance of scientists to the experimental farms in terms of scientific support for their economic activities.

On August 28, 2018, a weekly meeting was held regarding the completion of fodder procurement for livestock wintering in the network of experimental farms of the Institute of Pig Breeding and AIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Poltava), in particular, the SE "DG named after Dekabrystiv", SE "DG Stepne", SE "DG named after January 9".

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity" No. 848-VIII dated 26.11.2015 and the Resolution of the Presidium of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine "On Approval of the Regulations on the Procedure for Conducting a Competition for the Head of a State Scientific Institution of the National Academy of Sciences" dated 24.02.2016 (Protocol No. 3) by order of the National Academy of Sciences No. 146 dated August 10, 2016, a competition was announced for the position of director of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agricultural Production of the National Academy of Sciences.

About the stay of the delegation of the Institute of Economy and Development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On May 28-29, 2018, scientists from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited the institute, including:

- Director General – Director of the Economy and Construction Agency (Ministry of Construction of Vietnam), head of the delegation;

- Director of the Institute of Economics, Development and Construction Pham Kwok Toan;

- member of the academic council of Ta Manh Dung;

- deputy director of Tai Bak Konstrausht JSC, Hanoi (training of foreign students).

Scientists of the institute informed the foreign guests about innovative developments in technology and production of pork in Ukraine and other relevant achievements.

The guests also got acquainted with the exposition of the museum of the institute and visited the historical and memorial places of Poltava.

The Institute offers: A project for the construction and installation of a turnkey slaughterhouse has been developed for this equipment. The cost of design work, installation, transportation costs is not included in the offer.
